At Caleidoscope CIC, we provide neurodiversity-affirming EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) and alternative provision support for children and young people who may be struggling to access traditional educational environments due to anxiety, EBSA, autistic burnout, sensory overwhelm, emotional regulation difficulties, or unmet neurodevelopmental needs.
Our approach is relationship-based, low-pressure, and focused on emotional safety, wellbeing, confidence-building, and meaningful engagement. We understand that many neurodivergent young people first need to feel safe, regulated, understood, and connected before learning and engagement can begin to rebuild.
Sessions are primarily delivered through therapeutic LEGO®-Based approaches, which provide structured, creative, and emotionally safe opportunities for communication, emotional regulation, social connection, confidence-building, problem-solving, and engagement. Sessions are tailored individually to each young person’s interests, profile, needs, and emotional capacity.
Support may include:
therapeutic LEGO®-Based sessions
emotional regulation and wellbeing support
confidence-building and engagement work
social communication and interaction support
sensory-aware and neurodiversity-affirming approaches
low-demand and relationship-based support
gradual engagement and reintegration support
parent collaboration and guidance
Sessions usually take place within the child’s home environment, helping to create a familiar, safe, and supportive setting. Session times are arranged individually with families in order to meet the needs of each young person and their daily routines.
Caleidoscope CIC also works collaboratively with local authorities, schools, and families as part of wider support planning. Written reports, observations, progress summaries, and recommendations can be provided where appropriate and may contribute towards EHCP processes, annual reviews, educational planning, and broader understanding of the young person’s needs and strengths.
Our aim is not simply academic engagement, but supporting emotional wellbeing, connection, confidence, regulation, and helping young people feel understood, valued, and safe within their learning journey.
